CHARLES AND CAMILLA

ARE GETTING MARRIED!

As in Prince Charles and Camilla Parker Bowles.

Today's announcement has seen emails flying back and forth throughout the day in rapid succession. At work I had the radio on my computer set to BBC.

April 8th....a civil ceremony. She to be "Duchess of Cornwall" and "Princess Consort" when Charles becomes King. (Thank God not "Princess of Wales". I think even HE knew that was pushing it).

Most of my emails today have been from very angry people. I find I'm taking it in stride.

For me, alas, comes the struggle within. Goes something like this..

HOW COULD HE DO THIS??? And with HER???

He loves her, has always loved her. He was unfaithful to Camilla one time only, and that was with Diana.

POOR DIANA...EVERYTHING SHE SAID WAS TRUE. THIS MARRIAGE JUST SHOULDN'T BE.

"But if he had married anyone but Diana, we would have all been rooting for Charles. History will, in my opinion, show this to be a great love affair. Charles has loved Camilla for 35 years, she is his soul mate....a beautiful love story"

BUT LOOK HOW THIS PONDSCUM HURT DIANA! IF IT WEREN'T FOR HER CHARLES AND DIANA MAY HAVE BEEN HAPPY FOR LIFE!

Or not says the voice. The age difference, the neediness from both of them. They were torn apart instead of together.

HOW CAN CHARLES DO THIS WITH CAMILLA? IF HE HAS TO GET REMARRIED WHY HER??

He loves her.

CAMILLA WRECKED THE MARRIAGE, MADE IT IMPOSSIBLE FOR CHARLES TO FORGET HER, CAUSED DIANA UNBEARABLE HEARTACHE.

No denial here.

I HATE THAT WOMAN FOR ALL SHE DID TO BREAK UP THE MARRIAGE.... WHY DIDN'T HE MARRY CAMILLA IN THE FIRST PLACE AND SAVE DIANA THIS AGONY???

The real yo yo is this.....Despite all that happened, the unhappiness, divorce...still I would not wish for Charles to have married Camilla back then...why? Ah, says my jumbled mind. Because if Charles had married Camilla, I would never have known a wonderful lady named Diana. Life would have gone on, but oh how enriched my life was for having known her.
